Howlite is marble like in colourings, a borate mineral found in evaporite deposits. Colorings are white with fine grey or black veins in an erratic, often web-like pattern, opaque with a sub-vitreous luster. Our Small Howlite Towers are great quality, showing a clear white matrix with strong marbling, polished to a smooth lustre. Howlite is believed to create calm and prevent pain.

Howlite is found in continental evaporite deposits with other borate and evaporite minerals. It’s usually a white or light grey opaque and porous stone with grey, black or brown web-like streaks interlaced throughout the nodules. Howlite is believed to negate negative energy and its calming qualities are thought to relieve insomnia.
