A member of the Schorl species of Tourmaline - a crystalline silicate mineral group in which boron is compounded with elements - in this case, sodium iron. Black Tourmaline can become electrically charged simply by heating or rubbing it. Calcium Sulfate, or satin spar, is formed due to evaporation along hot springs and clay. Selenite has a tabular crystal structure, with striations running its length.
