These Banded Calcite towers have been colour-heat treated - a high temperature heat process, where a natural crystal (in this case - Banded Calcite) is coated with a blend of metals such as Platinum, Gold, and Silver. These minerals create its pretty pastel unicorn iridescence and is thought by some to enhance its power. Also known as Rainbow Aura, Angel Aura is believed to promote happiness and positive energy, while Banded Calcite is associated with cleansing, vitality and energy and balance.

Banded calcite forms when different layers of calcite deposit over time, creating bands or stripes, which often show a spectrum of colour. Angel Aura is a colour/ heat treatment, where natural minerals (in this case Banded Calcite) are coated with a blend of minerals, such as Gold, Silver and Platinum to create its metallic, iridescent colour. It is created in a vacuum chamber by a process known as Vapor Deposition. Banded Calcite is believed to cleanse and amplify energies, and balance the chakras, while Angel Aura is believed to provide protection and peace, serenity and joy as well as heightening intuition and connection.
