Showing wonderful circular orbital patternings or spherical inclusions, alongside splattered or droplet impressions, recalling the spray and movement of the oceans, in a vast array of green colourings in a base of Chalcedony, they are amazing specimens. Ocean Jasper occurs when colloidal suspensions suffer water loss and solidify into masses of microcrystalline quartz. The term "Ocean Jasper" is a trademarked name, which means it is legally protected and can only be used to describe specific orbicular Jasper mined from certain locations in northern Madagascar. Found exclusively in Madagascar, Ocean Jasper is collected during low tide along the coast. There are two main deposits: Marovato (coastal) and Kabamby (inland). A variety of Chalcedony, known for its unique, orbicular patterns and a wide range of vibrant colors, Ocean Jasper is believed to have dual connections to water and fire - formed by energies of water and volcanic rock. Thought to bring peace, calm and nuturing energies, it is used to imbue confidence, happiness and joy.
